Lazy Blog

I try to update this often with images, projects pics and adventures in drawing.

Sexy Peat - Prints, drawings and Animation

Following a two week residency on Lewis, I spent a week at the Highland Print Studio in Inverness, creating a new suite of Screen-prints and a Photo-Gravure Polymer Etching taken directly from a digital iPad painting.

I addition to the drawings and prints I was commissioned to create a 3 minute organically evolving animated work celebrating imagery associated with the ever changing fauna and flora of the blanket bog. All of the work is now part of a large scale touring exhibition that opened at The Botanics in Edinburgh last week, then tours the UK before returning to Lewis for a final exhibition in November 2014.

eatlands, a series of process focused films and an extensive blog.

Alison McMenemy, Director, Highland Print Studio, said: “We want to make a body of contemporary visual art that makes the rainforests’ slightly frumpy counterpart a little bit more sexy and give it the recognition it rightly deserves”.
